This past weekend I attended a home going service for a special lady in Houston, Texas. While at the service one Pastor spoke on the Dragonfly and I want to share those words with you all.
For most of its life the Dragonfly lives as a nymph, or as the Pastor said a “Mud Bug”. The mud bug lives underwater for about 4 years, eating and growing stronger. Eventually the mud bug is able to climb the stem of the lily pad where it sheds its outer skin. Once the outer skin is gone, the mud bug climbs onto the lily pad, spreads its wings and transforms into a Dragonfly. As the dragonfly flies away it wants so much to tell the mud bugs in the pond how beautiful the transformation is, but it can’t.
True and I live by this. Thank you.
You’re so welcome!
Expalin why he can’t go back…
My understanding is that when physical death occurs and we shed our humanly body, the soul is set free to return to the Source where infinite love and creativity exist, forward motion. However to return back to a human existence would mean that the soul had some unfinished business or lessons not learned, and that re-entry would take the form of being born, hence the phrase an “old soul” [but this is a totally different subject].
