Traveling to Sedona Arizona last weekend I realized how our simple actions mirror how we live our lives. As I rode to Sedona I noticed how the driver of our car [name unknown] was accelerating and maneuvering the car, not allowing other cars to cut in front and speeding just to keep up with the fast-moving cars. I also noticed other drivers leisurely moving along and still others stopping along the way to take pictures of the beautiful landscape.
The beauty of life is to take in as much of what life has to offer. If you rush through life multi-tasking, over-working, over-planning and keeping up with others, you will miss out on the best part of life. THE JOURNEY!
I can imagine thier perspective becasue I was once them. Until, my now 11 year old daughter taught me at age 1 1/2 how to look at the teeny ants on the ground, the flowers in the flower pots and the cracks in the cement. I guess I was open to paying attention because I remembered in those early moments the old saying slow down and smell the roses…I now at least notice when I’m not in the moment enjoying the best part of life, THE JOURNEY
