A friend wanted my thoughts on why at 5:30 am after a grueling workout someone would call her beautiful.
Well my friend it is true that we all have our ideas of what physical beauty is to us, but when you accept yourself with all of your perceived flaws (in the eyes of the “True Beholder” we have no flaws) your inner beauty can’t help but shine through.
It takes courage and commitment to:
- change the uncomplimentary dialogue placed in your head by others (i.e. family, friend, media) – THEIR OPINIONS OF YOU IS NONE OF YOUR SPIRITUAL BUSINESS
- change any/all negative ways you speak about yourself to others (i.e. I’m just too ____ for that!) – WORDS DO HAVE POWER
- change the way you think negatively about yourself (i.e. throughout the day and before you retire) – THOUGHTS DO BECOME THINGS
When you conquer the above, you can’t help but walk differently, talk differently, stand differently, smile differently and “LOOK” differently.
So when asked “Where does your Beauty lie?” You can give the long in-depth answer, or you can simply say “I Woke Up Like This”.
